Fresh from the oven!

Inspired by river cottage show on Asian Food Channel.

OMG, this is soooo delicious.

Cant hardly wait till it cooled down.

Here’s the recipe:

http://www.rivercottage.net

* 125g unsalted butter
* 150g soft brown sugar or light
muscovado sugar
* 125g no-sugar-added crunchy
peanut butter
* 75g honey, plus a little more to
finish
* Finely grated zest of 1 orange
* Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
* 200g porridge oats (not jumbo)
* 150g dried fruit, such as raisins,
sultanas and chopped apricots,
prunes or dates, either singly or in
combination
* 150g mixed seeds, such as
pumpkin, sunflower, poppy, linseed
and sesame

1. Grease and line a baking tin,
about 20cm square. Put the butter,
sugar, peanut butter, honey and
grated citrus zests in a deep
saucepan over a very low heat. Leave
until melted, stirring from time to
time.
2. Stir the oats, dried fruit and
three-quarters of the seeds into the
melted butter mixture until
thoroughly combined. Spread the
mixture out evenly in the baking tin,
smoothing the top as you go.
3. Scatter the remaining seeds over
the surface and trickle with a little
more honey. Place in an oven
preheated to 160°C/Gas Mark 3 and
bake for about 30 minutes, until
golden in the centre and golden
brown at the edges.
4. Leave to cool completely in the tin
(be patient – it cuts much better
when cold), then turn out and cut
into squares with a sharp knife.
These bars will keep for 5-7 days in
an airtight tin.
Variation: Banana Booster Bars:
Replace the peanut butter with 1
medium ripe banana (about 175g),
mashed. Stir it in after all the other
ingredients have been combined.

My note:
I made the banana version.

I had some slices of left out bread, and was thinking to make a bread puding, but then decided to choose this.

I got the recipe from foodnetwork.com

Here’s the copied recipe:

Zesty Roasted Garlic Bread

Ingredients
1 head garlic, unpeeled
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup (2-sticks) butter, softened
3 tablespoons minced parsley leaves
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1loaf sourdough bread, split
horizontally
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Cut top off garlic head. Place garlic
on a piece of aluminum foil; drizzle
with olive oil. Fold edges together to
seal. Bake 30 minutes; cool.
Squeeze cooked garlic into a medium
bowl. Garlic will be soft and sticky.
Add butter, parsley salt and pepper,
stirring to combine.
Spread cut halves of bread evenly
with garlic butter mixture. Broil 5
1/2 inches from heat, with oven door
partially opened, for 2 to 3 minutes,
or until butter melts and bread is
toasted. Cut into slices to serve.

My note:
I used ordinary sliced bread loaf.
Skipped the zest.
And I added chopped parsley,.union, and scallion

Love it!

Do u have left-over chocolate ganache?

If u do, this is some ideas to use it.

I dip my banana in chocolate ganache and put satai stick into it. Serve chilled!

A sweet dessert, no bake, no cook! Should I say more? :p

Of course it is yummy yum yum!

And I do the same way into my milk biscuit (do not have the pict), errr u could do to any biscuit u had. I just dipped it and directly eat it, lol.

And my ganache was made from Nigella’s recipe (devil’s food cake recipe, posted here before).

This sandwich needs bread (sometimes I use pancake), butter, fried egg, ready-to-eat sausage, tomato, cucumber (I love cucumber within sandwich or burger!), tomato ketchup and chilli ketchup, and of course, mayonaise (I ran out this ingredients). Ooogh, and some basil leaves.

Yummy. Healthy.

Good morning, everyone!
Have a great Saturday!

Recipe from here

This is one cake, that only last within a day. Lol.
My hubby (and me!) love it very very much!

The salty grated coconut enhanced the taste of its sweet cake.

This tradional cake of Indonesia is so easy to made.

All u need:

1 tsp emulsifier
2 eggs
100 gram grated young coconut
150 gram hi protein flour
200 gram castor sugar
200 ml coconut milk
Salt (about a tsp, depend on ur taste. And how many grated coconut u use)
Green food coloring (I used pandan leave / screwpine essence, it is already green and smells like pandan)

1. Beat eggs, emulsifier, sugar until they turn white and fluffy.
Add flour. Stirr till well combined.
2. Stir in the coconut milk

3. Add a tsp of pandan essense

4. Mix grated coconut with salt

5. Put the coconut in the bottom of the tin. Give ’em a push.

6. Pour the mixture untill full

7. Prepare the steamer.
(Indonesian traditional steamer called “dandang”, used in gas stove.)
Steam till cooked.

8. Serve hot
(never mind, it still delicious when cooled for me)

Tips
1. Avoid big heat. Hi temp will make the cake over-develop

Ussually this putu ayu served in individual portion, flowerry shape. And since I dont have this tin, I used my ordinary circle tin.
And it is fine. I cut it as I want with my spoon. And hhaaaaap, oughhh! Delicious!

u never know how strong u r

untill

u become a stay at home mom
(and none of maid)

Happy Anniversary, my hubby!

There areeee sooo many things had happened in the last year, from being a (new) Mom till our movement to this city.
And none of them brings any regret to me, as u always here. Thank u! Look forward celebrating next anniversaries with u!

Love u more and more, huney papi!

Hffft! Last May was hubby’s bday. I didn’t cook any noodle, nor buy any cake (yes, noodle and cake for any celebration for me). I was too tired handling one month old baby all by myself.
Since then, I say to myself, I will bake a cake on our anniversarry….which is tomorow!

Hffft…

And I don’t have any preparation, and yet my body doesn’t support it.

Catched a cold. Been wearing masker since few days ago. Seems like my body protested some new routines, in my not-so-fit condition.

Used to think there is no safe medicine for feeding mom like me. But I was wrong. I had just bought a syrup. Hope it works well.

My voice sounds so low, and it hurts…to speak. So, I keep silent. Hmm guess my hubby would miss my noisy chat hahhaha.

The worst part is I can not do my caresing moment with my baby. I dont speak that much neither. He looks like knowing my condition and yell and yell and yell… But it sounds like a seriosa, lol.

Arrgh, Mommy miss ur kisses, son!!
